Newsletters, just like posts, can be put in 3 parts:

<aside> <img src="/icons/megaphone_red.svg" alt="/icons/megaphone_red.svg" width="40px" /> 1) Cultivating Attention: How can you grab the reader with one line as a part of their vast email sea, and how can you get them to go into the body of the email?

</aside>

<aside> <img src="/icons/thought_red.svg" alt="/icons/thought_red.svg" width="40px" /> 2) Keeping Attention: How can you get the reader to keep reading and stay hooked by the story?

</aside>

The first step is cultivating attention.

To do that, you should follow the basic building blocks of a good hook, which you can find in the Creative X Growth Guide.

But the rules change on newsletters.
